The Robert and Hattie Bridges Scholarship, which was established to benefit teachers from Wake County, reached the $25,000 endowment level at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching. The scholarship was named after the late Hattie Bridges, who taught physical education in the Wake County Public School System and was department chair and head basketball coach at Enloe High School in Raleigh.
