EbzB Productions, a professional touring theater based in Apex, received the 2004 Constance Welsh Theatre for Youth Award from the North Carolina Theatre Conference.
The Raleigh Ringers hand-bell ensemble is holding auditions this month for its 2005 membership.
Shannon Ravenel, co-founder of Algonquin Books, is the honorary chairwoman for the 21st annual “Through Women’s Eyes, By Women’s Hands,” an art show and sale fundraiser held by The Women’s Center in Chapel Hill.
Also, Beth Grabowski, professor of art at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is one of the jurors for this year’s show.

Stephanie Moore, nationally known designer and maker of customized area rugs, has relocated the headquarters of her business, Stephanie Moore Designs, from California to the Triangle.
Mr. Toad’s Coffeehouse in Cary donated 5 percent of its December sales to Interact of Wake County. Stephanie Lake Britt is the owner of the shop.
Ashlee Lawson was selected to operate the state’s first Chick-fil-A in-line concept restaurant. Lawson is one of the youngest females to receive a new Chick-fil-A unit or operate a new concept.
Bath Junkie, a shop offering create-your-own body products, recently opened in Chapel Hill’s University Mall. Stephanie Cheney is the owner of Bath Junkie, which now has 40 locations nationwide.

Kile Law, president of Raleigh’s Blue Water Spa, was selected to serve on the National Day Spa Association’s 2005 board of directors. Also, managing director Dana Bailey and licensed massage therapist Kimberly Bagley donated funds and services to local charities on behalf of the spa.
Pamela Sutton-Wallace was appointed chief of staff to the chancellor for health affairs at Duke University in Durham.
Jane Riley, general manager of Designing Bodies in Raleigh, recently participated in the American Fitness Professionals’ certification class for advanced pilates.

Starting this month, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, a service provided by the Orange County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, is offering tax preparation to low- to middle-income clients as well as the homebound elderly and disabled.
