My prediction for spring 2020 fashion: You're gonna love it! How could you not with models parading down runways in polished outfits that were crave-worthy yet eminently wearable?

 

OK, you might not adore bras taking the place of shirts. But you'll appreciate the allure of wilderness, craftiness and artful draping; the beauty of female sexuality; the sleekness of '70s inspired pants suits; and the fun of shorts, colors, tiers and ruffles.

 

Take a glance at these standouts.

 

 

 

Maxed

Tiers, ruffles and puff sleeves lend dresses, skirts and blouses full-blown volume and expansive drama. The romance comes with a lot of movement. Apparel, including wide, pointed disco collars – often shown in contrasting colors, takes up space unapologetically. Pieces are often loose and baggy. Fashion-forward Triangle women take note: You can pair volumized clothing with just about any accessory, including sneakers!

 

 

 

Suited

Relaxed tailoring means you can wear the spring 2020 trouser suit for formal or casual affairs in the Triangle. The long and lean two- or three-piece (add a vest) suit, often in a stunning color, typically comes with a single-button or belted blazer and skinny flare pants. In some versions, the pants sport extra volume.

 

 

Wild!

Leafy lite or full forest, the countryside has taken over urban areas in the Triangle. Blooms are pretty or psychedelic; roses, particularly, are heavily represented. Expect mod designs including misty gardens, tropical riots and seaside sunsets. By and large, these are not delicate flowers; they're in-your-face hothouse prints. The backwoods isn't just botanical: Animal prints lurk, too.

 

 

 

Vivid

Brilliant hues are taking center stage. Splashes of whimsy come in the form of pink bubblegum, icy blue, fiery purple, blood red and bold tangerine as well as saffron, an energetic orangey-yellow. Not ready for highlighter-inspired neons during your RTP workday? Neutrals such as white in its various shades as well as beige, taupe and camel are often seen head-to-toe, too.
