In fashion capitals around the world, designers reached back as models decked out in '70s and '80s styles – from grunge to glam - stole fall shows. The runways were filled with disco-ball metals, oversized suits, bow blouses, pleated shirts, neon prints and acid-wash jeans.

 

Not your era? The Bee Gees, ABBA and Madonna don't cut it for everyone, so no worries. Dress assured, the catwalks featured a riot of eclectic outfits – basically, something for everyone.

Pretty in Plaid

Au courant women know it's hip to be square in tartan, gingham, tweed and houndstooth. Black-and-white provides a graphic punch, but so do vivid pink, yellow and orange. Try pairing two powerful patterns that clash. Check, please!

 

 

Color Drenched

Ultra-bright neons and flashy jewel tones make color a brilliant fashion factor. Of-the-moment hues include fuchsia, pistachio, teal, green, purple and blue. Feeling bold? Go for one extreme tone that pops head to toe. Otherwise, choose a single item to colorize.

 

Wild Side

Animal prints are roaring, so dare to stand out in
eccentric and (very faux) spots and stripes. There's no need to choose just one animal to emulate. Zebra, leopard, snake, cow –yes– cow can coexist in one outfit.
