Sure, we've enjoyed a remarkably warm winter in the Triangle. But January has the lowest temperatures of the year, and – brrr – baby, it's cold outside. Whether you've put off buying outwear until the digits drop or the toppers go on sale, now's the time to cozy up to coats.
There's something smart to suit every body this year. Patterns include those with graphic impact, such as checks and tartans, while colors feature the traditional camel as well as pastels, especially pale pink.
Maxi coats are trending, but so are cropped versions. There are suede trenches and biker jackets, A-line and oversized. Material includes wool, shearling, leather and suede.
Among the many styles, fashionistas are wrapping up in the belted midi, duffle, cape, peacoat and parka. You, too, can fight the chill in fashion. Check out these designer looks.
