Participants in this inspiration-filled, leisurely walk carry illuminated balloons - white for survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of loved ones lost to cancer. Thousands of walkers – women, men and children – form a community of caring. The fundraising event includes entertainment, kids' activities and refreshments.

The event is sponsored by the North Carolina Triangle to the Coast Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which attracts more than 25,000 people annually to the largest 5K in North Carolina – the Race for the Cure in Raleigh.
